THE JOURNAL ARTICLE REVIEW

The objective is to introduce you to primary research in science, particularly as it pertains to body systems and current events. The assignment is to read a peer-reviewed article from a scholarly journal in the field of medicine or microbiology. You should choose an article that pertains to Covid 19 and the human body; this can include mechanisms of infection, effects on individual body systems, immune response, vaccine development, etc. These types of articles are often new research based on clinical studies, autopsies, or literature reviews where the author(s) summarize the literature and current knowledge.
Your review should have a description of the article, a paraphrased summary of it’s major points, and your own analysis / assessment of the work. In order to do this, you will need to read the article more than once and probably seek additional references for the parts you don’t understand.

You can find lots of scholarly articles online by starting with a simple Google search.

Here is an example correct formatting for your journal article review. It should be two-three pages long, typed, double spaced. REFERENCE. SHOULD OT BE ON THE SECOND PAGE AND ZERO PLAGIARISM SHOULD BE DETECTED. You can put your name and info at the top of the first page; there is no need for a cover page.

First, introduce the article.
This article examines the effects of Coronavirus 19 on the renal system, in particular, acute kidney injury, or AKI. The authors examine clinical data of kidney function in multiple subsets of Covid 19 patients to determine how the virus gains entry to and damages tubular cells in the kidney. This article also addresses the immune response relative to the renal and respiratory expression of the virus, as well as clinical considerations concerning treatment options.
