Popular Culture Analysis

Assignment: Artifact Presentation (100 points)
Description:
For this project, the term artifact refers to anything that illustrates and exemplifies concepts from our course that you encounter outside of class. Possible artifacts include, but are not limited to, movies, TV shows, news stories/articles, magazine articles, songs, advertisements, social media postings, play/book excerpts, poems, cartoons, or anything else that might illustrate the concept of your choice. In this assignment, you are asked to select one artifact and, in an oral and written report, provide: 1) a description of the relevant course concept, 2) a description of the artifact, and 3) an explanation and analysis of how the artifact illustrates the course concept(s).

Presentation: You will deliver this information to the class in an engaging, informative presentation (about 5-7 minutes) using PowerPoint (or Prezi, etc.). Please select an artifact that relates to a course concept that will have already been covered by the time you present. You might consider using the following structure for your presentation:

*I will included the report and the class pdf book file. The concept the professor would like me to talk about in my slide presentation is In-Group and out-group dynamics as it relates to discrimination*

This is the professors Comments on my written report :
Janie, excellent work. My only critique is that the paper seems very broad in scope and the application of culture and communication. You hinted towards in-group and out-group dynamics as it relates to discrimination. Be sure to thoroughly explain these concepts to provide a more narrow framework for the analysis. Beyond this minor critique, the structure, grammar, and level of sophistication of your paper is excellent. Thank you for a easy and insightful read!
