Reflective writing is an analytical practice in which the writer describes a real or imaginary scene, event, interaction, passing thought, or memory and adds a personal reflection on its meaning. … Thus, in reflective writing, the focus is on writing that is not merely descriptive.
Instructions: You are being asked to Write Reflectively 2 pages Minimum=600 words (Max 3 pgs) on the Learning Assignments noted above.
Write about your personal thoughts and feelings not only about the subject Concepts and Ideas but about the learning experience and process provided through these assignments.
We explore and discover new ideas, perspectives, ways of understanding not just others but ourselves as well and in so doing we expand our capacities to communicate and engage with one another and find new avenues of expression we never knew of or experienced before. Learning experiences add meaning to our lives.
THESE ARE THE KINDS OF THINGS WE CREATE AND EXPRESS IN OUR REFLECTIONS…
SILENT OR WRITTEN.
Before you write a word…review the Reflection “Rubric” Chart (Pg.5) to more fully appreciate what we are looking for in your Reflection as we aim to be:
Moe than just describers or analyzers…but also “Reflective Practitioners”
Now put down 1.5 pages of Reflective Writing on your chosen assignment experience (6 of the 10 %)
Finish off your reflection (last half page), for 4 of the 10% with some suggestions (2 Recommendations) you could share with the CEO or Senior Manager at your chosen Organization.
Pretend you are a high paid “Management Consultant” hired to deliver such sage advice.
Remember to include your reasoning, in OB terms, to show why implementing your recommendations would likely make their Organization more “Effective” in meeting it’s Goals and realizing their Vision.
