Characteristics of Successful Leaders
In your experiences in dealing with organizational change, what are some of the characteristics that have made some leaders successful? And, what are some characteristics of those in leadership positions that have failed to positively affect change
Characteristics of Successful Leaders
I think successful leaders are effective in clearly communicating goals of what they expect from their members. In doing so, they are using emotional intelligence and are able to inspire group members to follow organizational goals. These actions are sound, decisive, and instill confidence.
Characteristic of Failing Leaders
Conversely, poor leadership often is an indicator of poor communication and poor decision making. When you failed to clearly communicate organizational goals you are failing to lead your proverbial flock and often the result is disorganization or chaos. Where there is lack of leadership tends to breed lack of accountability and ultimately leads to failure.
