1. Consider a budget for a property, business or activity that interests you! What costs are involved in setup? What finances are needed to maintain the project? 2. Think of an expert in the field who you can interview to get first-hand knowledge on the project of your choice. 3. Explain possible problems that may arise and how you would solve them. 4. Think of ways that you could find the financing for the project, either through saving or loans. 5. Remember to incorporate three concept connectors clearly. 6. Write a one-page summary of your process and budget. 7. Create an infographic to share your ideas with class on July 23rd. The goal is that you will have some useful information and that you will gain insight into research strategies for budgeting whatever project you may actually use in life. For the project you choose, you must incorporate at least THREE NEW concepts from the topics we have discussed this semester, which may include proportional reasoning, percent change, growth and decay rates of change, using amortization tables, distribution of data (histogram, pie chart or other visual representation, z-score/percentile), Simpson’s paradox, etc.
