Although Erikson’s theory is described in your text under emotional development it is also part of social development. Answer in discussion board: How do the stages of basic trust, autonomy, initiative and industry each build on each-other? How do these positive developments allow children to function socially and develop a sense of identity during adolescence? On the other hand how does mistrust, shame and doubt (for taking risks), guilt (when trying something new), and inferiority interfere with social functioning and lead to a lack of identity?
