Rough draft for the Final Essay on a Keyword
(2 pages single-spaced, one-inch margins, 12 font) on a focused exploration of the readings around a specific theme or central keyword that help help explain our class title “Global Futures.” The keyword can be more than just one word like “future generation” or “ancestral memory.” If someone asked you what the class “Global Futures” is about, you cannot talk about EVERYTHING. So pick a specific theme to help explain our class to them. Whether its Democracy, Rising China, Climate Change, Indigeneity, Feminism etc. Combine some of the older stuff you wrote for this class (do not just cut and paste, but think deeply of how to integrate course material). You can take from parts of your personal letter, future of work essay, media image assignment, etc.

Your goal is to connect and link things that we have already covered in class: 1) Explain the keyword you picked, summarize different authors’ arguments by effective use of paraphrasing, and demonstrate your own understanding of the keyword 2) Show how have the authors’ arguments shaped, changed, or challenged your views about the future?
