As a result, it is evident that this profession offers more services and is expected to go the extra mile while being underpaid.

Therefore without having a settled mind, these practitioners put the patients at risk. Further, they put their health at risk too. Thus improving their living standards can promote their self-esteem into performing their role efficiently without disruptions. Besides, it is noteworthy that the EMT works outdoors facing different types of environments and indoor.
However, the low payment is factored into their role, which is minimal compared to other caregivers. For instance, the nurses perform, and other professions perform more engaging works than the EMT. Besides, the education level is different. While the EMT course may take a year to get a certificate, other programs can up to five years. Therefore, the professions’ differencesignificantly impacts their salaries (Wright et al., 99). This law payment has consequently affected the health industry in different ways. While the EMT workers have a different living standard, they may choose a different profession or even advance through education.
