Health Promotion Discussion – 25 points/25% • Describes approaches to educate the target population about the topic. • The approaches are appropriate for the cultural target population. • Identifies specific ways to promote lifestyle changes within the target population. • Applies health promotion strategies.
e. My topic is The group I will be targeting in the community is young kids from Newborn to 35 months in New Jersey. The topic IID-8 Children receiving the recommended doses of DTaP, polio, MMR, Hib, Hep B, varicella and PCV vaccines by age 19-35 months. I will be promoting my health promotion project by being affiliated with the main hospitals for maternity services and distribute brochures to the new moms on their discharge giving them information and advantages on giving vaccine.
