Introduction
The author William Cotter , an linguistic anthropologist talks about the importance of how text is written and how the context matters when given to a certain community or people. In my anthropological research of discord can relate in terms of how different cultures interact one another differently. And the overwhelming among of cultures homogenizes in the smaller communities meant to learn more about each other and how language is spoken in the medium of discord. Second author can be used is Derrida which is understand depth of a language and the origins , by defragment the past , know the culture by logocentrism and practice to knowing how a certain culture lives is the way of phenomenology. These traits can be used due to discord having many users coming from different parts of the world and sharing in a place where it is homogenized with people’s cultural norms.
Set of questions:
The answers :
The people interviewed some were strangers to me, some were strangers to me and some where my friends. The reason I did this method is to get authentic answers from them and to mix up the pattern rather using the people I know. Discord is a unique place , saturated with people with different nationality and backgrounds. The main points of the discord community is that they understand each other by the help of their interests that they are equally talking about. “discord is a melting pot” , “ Nationality is hard to understand but the same interests make it easier to understand each other”. These are the ways that people get connected is by interest , discord has a universal rule and a universal way of approaching each other is to not be a “weirdo” That means that to not be direct to people , take things slowly and get to know with people with ease. It has become integrated into people lives as the interviews states by the fellows I interview. Discord communities is very overwhelming , so respect , empathy and respecting user opinion is the essential rules into making friends in the smaller communities.
