Strategic Capacity Planning and Outsourcing a Project

Project management allows companies to do more for less, so Strategic Capacity Planning has been added to the Strategic Management Process. The Strategic Capacity Planning is about what resources we have what we will need and do we have the capacity to obtain the necessary resources so we can obtain the objective of the utilizes our resources to optimum levels. Once we have determine what we need, do we have it and/or can we obtain the resource(s) we need, it brings us to the topic of outsourcing.

Outsourcing is a project which has its risk associated with it so the question is why outsources and what are risk associated with outsourcing. Yes the number one reason stated is cost but does that hold true, explain your reasoning as to they or why not.

What constitutes a substantial posting

A substantive post at a minimum will meet the follow these criteria:

The following items do not count toward participation and/or a substantial post

· Formal assignments (Individual)

· Posts that merely state agreement or reiterate a previous post, which also does not count toward the minimum word count

· Private messages

· Notes sent to the facilitator’s email address
