Ashort documentary follows several refugee families during their first 19 days in Canada.
The purpose of this assignment is for you to explore and consider some of the diverse issues that families experience and to reflect on how these issues inform your work with children and families. You will review ONE video from the list provided (List posted on Blackboard) and will produce an audio-recorded presentation. The presentation will be a short 3-4-minute audio-recorded PowerPoint presentation. You should be clear and accurate in the information you communicate in your presentation.
Step 1: Select and Review ONE video
Select and review ONE video from the list provided. The list includes videos with a range of topics related to families.
Step 2: Develop an Audio-Recorded Presentation using PowerPoint
Create and record a 2-4 minute audio presentation with 3-4 PowerPoint slides (1 title slide and 2-3 slides for the rest of your content). In your recorded audio presentation and slides include the following information:
- Title of the video reviewed and your name (1 slide)
- Why did you select this video? How is this video relevant in your work as an ECE with families? (1 slide)
- What information did you learn from reviewing this video that will be useful to you in your work as an ECE with families? List and briefly describe at least 3 meaningful points. (1 slide)
- How will you use this information as an ECE to support, engage and advocate for families in meaningful and relevant ways? List and briefly describe at least 3 meaningful points. (1 slide)
