Film review paper on the film called God sleeps in Rwanda

1. Reviews are a very useful and important form of scholarly writing. For this assignment, students may select a film and write a review (3-4 pages, double-spaced). See the list of suggested films. If you want to choose a film not listed on the syllabus, please run it by me for my approval. Films may be found either online, through the URI media center, or the public library, or through itunes, Amazon on Demand, Netflix, etc. Be sure to select your film early and plan ahead so you don’t run into problems finding it at the last minute. Please let me know your film choice, as soon as you have decided, and by November 1 at the latest.

2. The review should summarize the contents of the film and analyze it. The goal is to bring attention to a work that you find has value and makes an important contribution. Explain its value and why others should view it.

3. A successful film review goes beyond a description and evaluation of the film. It makes its own point and contributes new knowledge about the field to its readers. It is important to place the film in context, identify its genre, and possible biases. The film review should explain how the selected film relates to the themes of the course.

4. Be sure to include a title page containing a title, student’s name, the name of the class, my name, and the date. Font: 12 points. Margins: 1 inch. The use of outside sources is not required for this assignment. Therefore a bibliography is not required.

5. Reminder: Plagiarism is a serious violation of academic integrity. All quotations and paraphrasing of sources must be properly cited.

Also this paper needs to relate to the themes in my class which is women in war!
