I believe that the future of US-China trade is going down according to the article. No matter if Trump is reelected or if Biden is elected, it seemed as if both parties have a sour relationship with China in that regard. Now, it is how they handle their relationship in the upcoming year per both parties, which can be hard to predict. However, I do believe that if Biden is elected as president that he would be willing to be more open about the opportunities towards US-China trade. On the other scheme of things, Trump has been and is more heavily focused on improving the economy. With that being said, I predict that if Trump is reelected, we will have less of a relationship with China considering what is happening currently. So, it might not be in the United States best interest of continuing trade with China from Trumps perspective.

Presently, entering into this new era, considering the elections, geopolitics and free trade would depend upon who is elected as president in this election. If Trump is reelected, I foresee geopolitics having an interference with US-China trade. Trump is more likely to delist Chinese firms from US Stock Exchange and geopolitical could be a prominent reason as to why he does. However, if Biden is elected as president I envision that the future will consist of free trade. The possibility of being more open to trade with China, specifically free trade, would more likely be under Biden. Nonetheless, it is hard to predict the future of US-China trade due to many different influencing factors. Those factors including who is elected as president and the different mindsets of each.
