An abstract gives insight into an article in a short or concise manner. An abstract allows the reader to preview or survey the contents of an article quickly. Your abstract should be between150-250 words.

Citing has two components (1) the in-text citation is where you mention the author or title of the article (if no author) and the date of publication, (2) the reference section (the last page of your paper) with specific information where the reader can link the citation in your paper to the actual article, book or work you are citing/referencing. An example or citing would looklike this in a paper. I will start with an in-textcitation:Noe, Hollenbeck, Gerhart and Wright (2011)found that as a part of the total compensation paid to employees, benefits serve functions similar to pay. If you use Noe, Hollenbeck, Gerhart and Wright (2011) again you would use the following due to three or more authors: (Noe et al., 2011). Do not place www.addresses in your paper; www.addresses belong in the reference section only.

Your references go here in alphabetical order (by the first author’s last name – or when there is no author, the first word of the title). Include only references cited in your paper, and be sure to include every reference cited in your paper.
Last Name, First Initial., Middle Initial. (if there is one). (Year). Name of article in sentence case: If there is a subtitle, it should also be in sentence case. Name of Journal in Title Case, volume(issue), first page-last page. Retrieved Month Day, Year, from name of database.
