Other participants in the course cannot see what you write. Requirement: Each journal entry must be a MINIMUM OF 250 WORDS!!! What do I expect to see in your Journal Entries?: Journals are opportunities for you to explore your ideas, brainstorm strategies, and plan for real-world application from the readings/assignments you had for this week. Write clearly. I am not overly concerned about grammar or spelling, but do make sure what you write is understandable. These are not “notes to self” or bullet points. Be thoughtful. Relate how the material in the course is relevant to your real-world. This is where you can write about your own experience and how this information might apply. Make connections. Don’t write a short research paper. Journals are about you, not about how well you can research a topic. Don’t give us a list of articles and citations. I don’t need formal citations because I understand you are covering the items in the module. The University Policy on Academic Integrity applies to all assignments, assessments, and posts. Be specific. Don’t say, “I learned a lot from this module/chapter and I plan to make changes in my work based on that.” Describe in specific detail what you learned and how you will use it.
