Were you surprised by the scores? Yes, I was shocked about my scores. I had a feeling my scores was not going to be in the 90s but I also did not think it would be that low. I have some self-improving to do.

Which of the four core emotional intelligence skills will you work on first? Why?

• Self – awareness is the emotional intelligence skill I want to work on first. I chose this skill because my score for self- awareness was the lowest. I also knew that this skill I need to work on before taking the EQ test. I think to have a successful or high EQ, self-awareness is the first skill a person should have mastered before other skills to fall through.

Review the strategies for the EQ skills you selected, and list up to three that you will practice below.

1. Quit Treating your Feelings as Good or Bad–I think taking the good and bad feelings out the equation would help remind myself that the feelings is there to help me understand situations.
2. Watch yourself like a Hawk – I think being like a Hawk would allow myself to step out from my feelings and get what is needed to be done to create a positive outcome.
3. Don’t Be Fooled by a Bad Mood–I am quick to let my bad mood take over and not realize something good could come out of any situation. This strategy can help me understand that bad mood does not last forever.
