Design Assignment

Create an infographic using either Canva, Piktochart, or another platform of your choice (depending on the platform, we may need to adjust the assignment, so please reach out to discuss with me).

Your infographic should be on a technology issue. It can be the same one you explored in your Website Assignment, or you can select a new issue to work on for this assignment.

What to consider/include when creating your infographic:

Content

A relevant and clear title
Presentation of your research findings on your chosen technology issue
Text should distill the topic down and makes it accessible without oversimplifying
Sythesis and summary are essential here. You probably don’t want to quote
Include discussion/exploration of ethics as it relates to your technology issue
Balance of text and visuals
no big paragraphs of text! This is not a paper, it is an info-GRAPHIC.
Focus on how to present your research VISUALLY, instead of just how to present the information with visuals. The visuals shouldn’t just be there they should be doing work to convey information.

Design

Clear organization and good flow
The design of the infographic should ensure that the viewer can easily engage with it and follow the content (again, consider both the info and the graphic components and how they work together).
A consistent color scheme
A visually appealing and engaging design that supports the content and does not distract from it
Images shouldn’t be included just because, they should be an integral part of the design; the visuals should be doing a significant amount of heavy lifting.
