Peer review

At its core, peer review is where you read another student’s paper and provide quality feedback. Critically reading the work of a classmate is a kind thing to do and is incredibly helpful in sharpening your own revising and editing skills. In this forum, you will post your draft then provide quality feedback to one student. The professor will assign you a partner. Follow the link above to complete the peer review.

Instructions

• Step 1: Read your partner’s draft
• Step 2: Respond to your partner’s draft. Make sure to address all the following issues in your response:

• In Part ONE, did your partner accurately summarize TWO sources using the rules of proper summary? If not, explain how they can improve this section.
• In Part TWO, did your partner accurately analyzing two pieces of evidence from Coates’s essay? If not, explain how they can improve this section.
• In Part Three, did your partner effectively explain if they believe Coates’s case? If not, explain how they can improve this section.
• Did your partner use MLA IN-TEXT citation for every sentence that contained an idea that wasn’t 100% their own, including summaries? Point out examples that need correction.
• Were there any parts of your partner’s paper that you did not understand? If so, note this moments so your partner can fix them.
