To read
Read the chapter on Motivation and read the articles and think about how they relate to the theories of motivation. In addition, as the textbook does not provide much information on needs theory, I encourage to do some additional reading on these theories. Be it the library or google scholar, if you type in Maslow you will find the original article easily, the same occurs with Herzberg and what he published in HBR.

To watch/listen
There are 5 videos that pertain to the material in the chapter, each of which focuses on a different theory of motivation. As needs theories are not discussed in detail, this video is probably particularly helpful as it provides an overview of each theory, albeit a brief overview as most of those theories are associated with a book. In addition I have included a link to a TED talk by Daniel Pink the author of Drive. I encourage you to watch it. I have also put a link to his website as it contains some good information and links to some interesting OB topics.
