Let it be known that I came from a poor background, went to community college and then to University. I have worked through out college.

I have a 2.97 GPA and I want to get into University of Washington, their average GPA to get in is 3.0. Write an emotional, motivational statement that would get me into the Masters of Science in information Management (MSIM) Program.
I adore and love this school and I want to get in by any means possible.
I asked my advisor from by previous school about not meeting the 3.0 gpa, and she said
“Now I will say, typically the 3.0 requirement is an average that schools are looking for. that means some people will have a 3.0 or higher and others will have something a little below. It is going to be how you market yourself to the school you are applying to. Making sure that you stand out in other ways than just your GPA”.
So, I want a letter that stand out. I was the president of the African student union from 2014-2017 in UNCG
(so I have some leadership skills).
Through out my college life I have worked to earn a living, I’m very ambitious and dedicated. My last semester I worked full time at First citizens bank and managed to be on the Dean’s list with all the hectic job. Volunteered at Habitat for Humanity, member of the autism society of North Carolina. Secretary of the women in business at my former school, university of North Carolina.
I had a 2.97 GPA because my grandmother who raised me died and after a few months my first cousin died. I was in a very dark state during my first and second semesters at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro.
I got a job after right after graduating University in Raleigh, NC, started working with Sherwin Williams. Sherwin-Williams Company is an American Fortune 500 company in the paint and coating manufacturing industry. The company is number 2 out of top 25 North American paint and coatings manufacturers.
I was the assistant manager of a $2M store. Assisting in all aspects to drive growth.
After growing that store and developing staffs.
In April 2020 I got a job offer from Amazon to become an account manager of one of their largest vendors. I am currently managing fossil watches.
Account Manager with a demonstrated history of working in the internet industry. Fascinated by technology and how it functions. Skilled in Microsoft Word, Public Speaking, Management, Leadership, and Project Management. Strong sales professional with a Bachelor of Science- BS focused in Business Studies and Information Technology from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro.
