For this policy paper, you will select a social welfare policy problem of personal interest and conduct a search of the available literature (with emphasis on peer-reviewed journal articles) surrounding the selected policy problem. This paper must be written in APA 6th edition format, which includes a title page, body of at least 5 full pages and a maximum of 8 pages, and a reference page(s).

History of social welfare policy in this area;
Alternative proposals to address this problem (a minimum of two alternatives must be included);
Rational policy analysis of the alternatives;
Political ramifications of each alternative; 6. Summary/conclusion.

Unit 2

In Unit 5, you will submit your Policy Paper Reflection Assignment. This is a one-page reflection about the policy paper you have been working on this term. This assignment will allow you to check-in with your instructor and get some helpful feedback before submitting your final paper in Unit 7. In your own words, provide a brief summary of the following:
The policy problem you are writing about this term
Two alternative proposals you are suggesting to address this problem
The political ramifications of your suggested alternative
Any confusion or questions you may have about the assignment! This is your opportunity to ask for any helpful hints or feedback.
Resources are not required for this assignment! There is no need for a cover page or references with this assignment. While it is an informal assignment, remember to use a professional tone and summarize the ideas you plan to present in your final paper.

You will submit your final paper. This paper must be written in APA 6th edition format, which includes a title page, body of at least 5 full pages and a maximum of 8 pages, and a reference page(s). Note: The title page and reference page(s) are not included in the 5 full – 8 page body length. This assignment must be submitted via SafeAssign in Word Document format.
