the annotated bibliography should:
1. Include your research question for context. For formatting instructions, see below.
2. Use MLA-style citations in the proper format. Your citation should be double-spaced with a hanging indent. Citations should be organized in alphabetical order.
3. Include exactly 5 citations related to your research question (including more or less than 5 will result in a points deduction). Your annotations should be developed according to the instructions found in the “The Annotated Bibliography” document found on Blackboard. For instructions on which citations to include, see below.

Required Source Types Your annotated bibliography should include 5 annotations. Each annotation should be for a different source type. You must include:
1. Basic information source: an encyclopedia entry or topic overview from Gale Opposing Viewpoints in Context
2. Monograph or book
3. Academic, peer-reviewed scholarly research article
4. Popular source like a newspaper or magazine article (not an academic journal article)
5. Credible webpage or article from a professional organization, nonprofit, government agency, etc.
Formatting
Your annotated bibliography should be typed in 12-point Times New Roman font with 1” margins. Use MLA-style page numbers (a header in the upper-right corner that includes your last name followed by a space and the page number).
Begin your annotated bibliography with an MLA-style header. Next, give your research question for context. Then, include your 5 entries with a properly formatted citation and annotation. Remember, the citation should be doublespaced, while the annotation should be single-spaced. Your annotation should be indented, so that the only part of the entry aligned to the left is the author’s last name.
