What is your character’s relationship like with their parents? Dad wasn’t in his life, Mom was on drugs which caused them to argue a lot and made him step up as the man of the house
Where does your character work? Describe what they do, how they feel about it and their position. US Army, Feels like he is making a difference, feels like he has to do something good for a change in the family

Jerry is from the Southside of Atlanta and has spent all his life in this area. He lived a hard life growing up due to the violence of the area he was in and not having any guidance from an adult. His dad was never in his life and his mom was always out of it and on drugs heavy. He had to grow up really fast in order to keep his mom in line and take care of his two little sisters. Jerry is 19 and his sisters are 13 and 6. He went out of his way to provide for them and put his self last when it came to them. He had to throw away his sports dreams in order to take care of his family. He felt as if his last resort was to join the army and now he is battling with how could he do that and take care of his family. He is feeling betrayed by his mom and dad because he feels like neither of them have upheld their responsibilities as parents.
