Stuart Russell analyzes the difficulties in and possibilities of building “provably beneficial AI”. What does he mean by “AI”, “beneficial” and “provable” in this context? Discuss what he thinks the greatest dangers in AI are and why he thinks that they inhere in what he calls the standard model. Also discuss the design principles that he specifies to construct provably beneficial AI. Lastly, and most importantly, evaluate yourself his argument that provably beneficial AI is indeed a realizable goal.

The paper should be ≈6 pages long, and not exceed 8 pages.

1/3^rd grade determined by the quality of your critical evaluation of those arguments.

1/3^rd grade determined by the quality of your writing at the sentence level and the coherence of the paragraphs.
