Artifact Analysis A – visual design

For this assignment, use the artifact you have selected for your course paper. It should have strong visual and verbal elements. The artifact should have persuasive elements and should be defensible as a persuasive message. Your answers will focus on the visual components in the message and their persuasive elements even though verbal aspects will be present.

When you submit your answers, be sure to submit a copy of the artifact; if it is a video, then provide a link to it in your document.

Explain each of the following terms according to the readings – remember to provide an appropriate source citation – then, identify and briefly explain how each of the following principles/elements of design is present in your communication artifact.

Using the procedure described in Auer (report, analyze, judge), critically analyze the message in paragraph format (minimum of 300-350 words). Begin each section with an explanation of the step, cite your sources using the APA guidelines for in-text citations, and proofread for spelling and writing mechanics.

Step 3:

Create an APA-formatted reference page entry for each source you used in your answers (Evans & Thomas, Auer, etc.). Be sure to include the artifact you’re analyzing as one of the references. You can check BBL for correct citations—see each Lesson, or the “papers & writing” section.

Write your response on your computer in a word processing program such as Word and save it as a .doc, .docx, or .rtf file (no .pages), then upload and submit the file here as an attachment.
