• Based on what you know from the news accounts, the arrest video, and the televised interview, do you think law enforcement or the judicial system responded properly? Explain your opinion, including any relevant personal experience you have had with the criminal justice profession.
• How do you expect the individuals involved will explain their actions if brought to trial in either a criminal or civil proceeding? Be as detailed as your knowledge and experience will permit. Background research beyond news coverage of incident is encouraged, however, necessary. I am interested in what you know now as you enter this course.
• How do you expect a jury to rule if criminal charges are brought against the individuals involved? What influences your opinion?
