Matt and Kelly case study
In this case study Matt and Kelly are trying to have a child together. They have tried for two years and not had any success. They have gone to see a fertility expert only to be informed that Matt has extremely low sperm count. Upon that discovery they tried artificial insemination but it failed. Majority of there friends have families now of there own with children and it makes this process painful for Matt and Kelly; as well as they feel their privacy is invaded by the specialist. As well as trying for adoption but having no luck as no babies being available in the categories they prefer. All of this has strained there relationship.
As there counselor we would suggest them to look at Hebrews 11:11 “and by faith even Sarah, who was past childbearing age, was enabled to bear children because she considered him faithful who had made the promise.” To simply remember that if you continue putting your faith in God he will deliver or show you a way. We then would suggest that they should give AID a try but to understand that there is a possibility it may not follow through as well but that there is still more options and ways to have children. Ethically a child born to you or not still needs parents, so Matt and Kelly would finally get what they have prayed for to be parents and a child would be brought into the world for them to care and nurture and show God’s word too.

Adoption is always a great choice!!
Hebrews 13:4 Marriage should be honored by all, and the marriage bed kept pure, for God will judge the adulterer and all the sexually immoral.

Adoption would be the better option for them at this point. They have been struggling in their marriage with their artificial insemination journey and feeling isolated from their loved ones and friends. Because of the picture of spiritual truth that it offers, adoption is a viable option.1 It is simply the way that God is his wisdom can choose for us to be parents.1 Whether one becomes a parent biologically or through adoption, the fact is that children are not a right but a gift from God.1 If they were to try artificial insemination that required a donor it could cause more problems bringing in a third party and add to the issue of privacy invasion from the fertility specialists. “Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done” (Philippians 4:6 NLT).
