Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system

Chapter 2 of the text discusses what an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system is and how it extends the concepts also studied for an Accounting Information System (AIS). This assignment requires you to do some further research on the topic of ERP systems. The major Cloud-based ERP software vendors globally are: SAP (www.sap.com), Oracle (www.oracle.com), Microsoft (www.microsoft.com), Infor (www.infor.com), and Epicor (www.epicor.com). Pick one of these vendors, and review their website. Explore their content by doing the following: a) Search the site for ERP-based videos, and watch a few of them b) Explore the industries, services, solutions, and platforms that are offered c) Read several of the articles, such as the ones about customer successes Then do some additional research on the web for the vendor and their ERP product to see what the marketplace is saying about these vendors and their product offering. After performing your research, and based on your reading of the chapter, develop a short research paper that describes how an ERP can connect and integrate the revenue, expenditure, human resources/payroll, and financing cycles of a business. Also, include in your paper how an ERP can add additional value to the organization beyond supporting the aforementioned business cycles. Your short research paper should not exceed six hundred (600) words. Provide documented references with links where appropriate. Assignment Submission 1.
