Elements of poetry
1.Research one of the following forms/structures:
Slam Poem
Rant
Manifesto
Monologue
Internet Campaign
2. Choose a creative cause:
How will the cause you have chosen be most effective, and through which voice will it be most effective in the given world? Imagine you are trying to spread the word. How could you use symbolism effectively? How would you use audience to your advantage? Represent this cause through your chosen form/structure.
3. Make some sort of artifact to represent this cause:
Artifacts you may wish to make could be a Zine, Postcard, T-shirt, Key Chain, Sticker, Stamp, Stencil, or something else you dream up.
4. Create a PowerPoint that reflects your work and your ideas.
Power Point is free to you with BMCC’s enrollment. You can download Office 365 when you register for your BMCC email account. You will follow the link to do so there.
Your PowerPoint should covey your chosen cause through one of the forms/structures listed in step 1. It should also include your artifact.
ADDITIONAL MIDTERM POWER POINT REQUIREMENTS: Be creative how you include your work. Make it engaging to an audience.
A minimum of 5 slides, including a title page

An MLA Works Cited Page and In text citations for any outside sources used.
