Genetic selection for gender
Write an argumentative essay either for or against one of the topics listed below. (I choose #2: Assisted Reproduction)
1. Genetic selection for gender
2. Assisted Reproduction (i.e. IVF, surragocy, etc).
3. Government-funded healthcare for all
4. Animal Research
5. Legalization of patient requested euthanasia
Use at least 3 arguments to support your opinion. Only ONE of your arguments can be based on emotion (i.e. “I am against government funded healthcare because it isn’t fair to the people who work.”) The other two arguments must be based on research/data (i.e. “In countries where the government funds all healthcare the unemployment rate is 10% higher than in those that do not.”)
Please note, I made up that data as an example, you must use real data that you find through research. These arguments do not have to include specific quantitative data, they can also say something like: “studies show that when X is done, Y happens.”
Your essay should be at least 4 paragraphs long. Remember to write in complete sentences, using appropriate grammar, punctuation, and spelling. Be sure to cite any sources that you use.
