There were many causes of the American Revolution: mercantilism, the French and Indian War, the Proclamation Act of 1763, as well as the many taxes passed on the colonists. Explain which had the most impact on the colonists to declare independence and why.
Which groups were missing in the Constitution? How does this reveal a contradiction in this document?
Did the United States really win the War of 1812? Examine the terms of the peace settlement and the end results of the war. What was gained? What was lost? What was the larger victory for America?
