Write an 8 page (1500-2000 word; excluding cover page, abstract, footnotes and references) paper about a pseudoscientific topic of your choosing.
Research
Compile a reference list. Research needs to be done before the paper is written. You will need to find a minimum of 8 sources in addition to the required textbooks in this course. These sources contain all the information you will be using in your paper.
Your reference list should include a short summary of the content of each source (approx. 100-150 words) as well as an explanation why you are using this article/chapter etc

Body of paper
❖ A. Description of the topic in detail (0.5-1page)
o What are the components of the topic?
❖ B. What is the evidence used by believers in this topic? 1-2 pages
❖ C. Evidence of scientific validity (1-2 pages)
o Description of the scientific method
o What valid scientific research has been done about the topic.?
o What are the conclusions of the scientific research?
❖ C. Analysis- (2-3 pages)
o Use the information you gathered during this course to analyze in detail why your topic is a pseudoscience
▪ In this area you will need to analyze the “evidence” used by believers in this topic, described in section B
▪ Include references to logical fallacies, scientific error, bias etc

❖ Conclusion (0.5 page)
❖ Reference list (minimum of 8-10 references in addition to the required reading material in the course)

All submissions require a cover page, author, page numbers, section headings, and other basic information.
