Group Dynamics and Organizational Diagnosis

First, you are required to identify you are interested in, such as a bullying, victims of abuse, special needs, LBGTQ, AA, Al-Anon, NA, grief & loss, anger management skills, social skills, family changes, immigration, homelessness, and attendance, etc., and then discuss your perspective of the group by answering the following:

Discuss Tuckman stages of group formation and how you will assist the group to achieve to stages
The objective of the group
Date and start time and length (time) of group
Number of members needed
Structured or unstructured
Will it be facilitated by one leader or rotated to members
The topics for the sessions
Describe your leadership style and how will it impact the group functioning.
Your experience of the group process
What do you expect to learn?
Given the current climate of social distancing, how might this affect your group
How will you select your members
Include what group format was followed, how members identified themselves, and what principles of group work you saw in action in the group.
Discuss what benefits will be gained by the members attending the group and what potential drawbacks members might experience.
Will you utilize any particular theory/what type of theory guides this approach? Critique the theory as it applies to this approach.
Could you offer a group like this to other students? Why or why not?” Specify any plans or goals you want to apply to develop what you learned.
How will you get stakeholders to buy into this process? What roles will they play?
What group theories, group types, group topics, and leadership style(s) are a good fit with your worldview, experiences, style of counseling and probable clients. Provide a rationale for each area.
What group dynamic areas will be the most difficult for you? Why? How will you deal with these areas?
What will be the biggest challenge(s) for you in working with culturally diverse populations? How will you deal with those challenges?
How do you envision incorporating group work into your school counseling duties?
Have you ever participated in in-group counseling as either a participant, facilitator or both? How were those experiences for you?
How you might use something we did in class in your future position as a counselor? Discuss your participation in the group – your role – active/silent participant and/or leader, why?
The paper must be 15-20 pages in length, APA 6th edition style, excluding references.
