Indo-China Border conflict

Professor’s instructions:
Your major writing assignment for this course is a research paper 10-12 pages double-spaced in length. Your bibliography should include at least ten academic books and/or journal articles.
This paper will be an analysis of any major actors’ policies towards (or securitization of) an international or global security issue (broadly defined) of your choice.
Every paper will answer the question: How has country X securitized or not securitized X issue?
All papers will have three sections:
1) an explanation of your issue: a) what is the challenge b) and why it should be considered a “security” issue (3 pages)
2) a critical examination of country X’s current (or past, if relevant) policies towards the security challenge (5-6 pages).
3) your policy prescriptions for how country X can best address this issue (2-3 pages)

One Page (Max) Outline of Research Paper
This should include the question (obviously the question is given – as above – but you need to add your case study and timeframe), your hypothesis (tentative argument), structure (organization of paper) and short bibliography. (Outline due July 1, 11:59 pm PST)

Topic:
The essay can include how India has securitized the country on the border issues with China. Previous history about the policies signed between both the countries (ex; Line of Actual Control (LAC) after 1962 war). The current tension between both countries and how they were in a security dilemma after militarization the Galwan Valley region. Also, a mention of how this current situation is a security issue for both the countries.
