Leadership Theory Paper Milestone 9: Draft

Prior to beginning work on this assignment, please review all past feedback offered by your faculty member for the assigned milestones. You can also read, watch, or review any of the required or recommended sources for this week to potentially use for this draft.

A successful final draft of any paper should be the product of brainstorming, Outlining (Links to an external site.), and multiple drafts. The Writing Center is a great service for all students, offering 24/7 Writing Tutoring (Links to an external site.) and Paper Review (Links to an external site.) for a turnaround for papers and discussion posts.

You are strongly encouraged to submit a draft to the Writing Center to review in addition to submitting it to Turnitin and using Grammarly. You should submit your work to the Writing Center for review and use the Turnitin and Grammarly tools by Week 5, Day 3 at the latest so that you will have time to get feedback and revise your draft accordingly before submitting it to Waypoint on Day 7.

Submit a complete and revised draft of your final paper to your instructor by Day 7 of Week 5. Final drafts should include title page, abstract, body of paper in final draft form, and a reference page (with annotated summaries of each source removed). Your draft should incorporate feedback you received from your instructor in the Week 4 discussion forum, as well as from your Leadership Theory Paper Milestone 5: Outline with Revised Title Page and Reference List from Week 4.

In your paper,

Present a clear overview of three specific leadership theories or approaches.
Explain the foundational philosophical assumptions and principles of the selected leadership paradigms.
Discuss briefly the limitations and strengths of each leadership theory or approach selected.
Examine the rationale for why each leadership theory or approach is important to the study of leadership psychology and/or the field of organizational psychology.
Discuss the relevance of one particular leadership theory or approach to you and your career path.
Discuss the relevance of issues of diversity as they are related to the history of psychology of leadership.
The Leadership Theory Paper draft,

Must be 10 to 12 double-spaced pages in length (not including title and references pages and formatted according to APA Style (Links to an external site.) as outlined in the Writing Center’s APA Formatting for Microsoft Word (Links to an external site.) resource.
Must include a separate title page with the following:
Title of paper
Student’s name
Ashford University
Course name and number
Instructor’s name
Date submitted
Must utilize academic voice. See the Academic Voice (Links to an external site.) resource for additional guidance.
Must include an introduction and conclusion paragraph. Your introduction paragraph needs to end with a clear thesis statement that indicates the purpose of your paper.

Must use at least eight scholarly and peer-reviewed sources, five of which should be recent (within the last 5 to 10 years) scholarly, peer-reviewed research articles, and cited accordingly. The other three references may be from the course-assigned texts or other relevant sources.
