Write a 5-10 paragraph response that answers the following question: Which tactics that we learned about this semester did the author of this paper (see attached file below) use well/fail to use well in her essay? Your response must have an introduction with a clear thesis, body paragraphs, and a conclusion.

In your body paragraphs, you will want to do the following: 1) Identify the tactic the author used that you wish to discuss 2) Provide a specific example from the text that shows the author using/not using this tactic (directly quoting is fine here) 3) Explain how this example is, indeed, an example of the tactic you are exploring 4) Tell your reader the impact this use/lack of use of this skill has on the argument the author is making – go beyond throw away explanations, like “She does this to draw their attention to the point she’s making.” 5) Conclude your body paragraph with a restatement of your main idea.Please, DO NOT go for surface-level criticisms (e.g. spelling, punctuation, and grammar). Instead, consider the naysayer, use of/explanation of quotations, strong topic/conclusion sentences, responding to another author, etc.
