Munich Olympics 1972 Terrorist events
This essay is required. View the film, Munich, or read the book (Links to an external site.), Vengeance by George Jonas. (Note that the film is available on YouTube, iTunes, and Google Play (Links to an external site.) for $3.99.) Each of these sources addresses the events that occurred at the Munich Olympics in 1972. Since that time, it has become one of the infamous terrorist events in history. Your textbook addresses the events and the historical significance of the acts of terrorism that followed.
After reading the first half of the textbook and viewing the film (or reading the book), analyze the incidents by discussing how each group defined terrorism, who the terrorists were, why the event occurred, and how well it fit the typical terrorist profiles we have studied thus far. Utilize examples from either the film or the book and integrate those examples into your narratives to support your positions.
Your paper should be a minimum of four pages (double-spaced in Times New Roman font and standard one-inch margins). There should be no cover page and your references cited page doesn’t count towards the minimum length requirement.
