The Effect of Slavery on Southern Religion, and visa versa
Hello! This was the thesis I turned it, feel free to add or take away whatever you think is best.
Although the slaves of the South were considered property to their masters, religion solidified the hope that they would some day be set free. This was a major concern of
the masters as they considered the evangelizing of the slaves. The slaves looked upon the stories of Jesus and Moses as a source of antislavery values.
